L'École Noyau

Noyau, meaning kernel, is the inner core of a seed: a small, concealed element with the potential to grow into a plant.

In L'École Noyau, the idea of the kernel appears at several scales. The structural system offers villagers a point of departure for understanding the possibilities of bamboo construction. The school itself becomes a core for the development of the village and its inhabitants, while each student holds the potential to become a kernel within society.

The project seeks to develop people and buildings in parallel. It grows from the land and contains the seeds through which it may be planted again wherever it is needed.
